Today was one of the startlingly clear days.. a perfect day for a short drive up to Poli Poli park where remote control airplane and glider enthusiasts gather most every Sunday.. Fun that I knew a few of them and more so that they each brought a fleet of flying machines. Sometimes these little firecrackers were whipping past me at surprisingly high speeds, other times they were at quite a distance away.. I boiled down 383 pictures to just 28. (Click to enlarge)
Bill [the chap in the first picture above] had all manner high tech toys on board. On his laptop he had pre-programed a take-off routine for this beast of a plane as well as a route -with way-points that the plane would follow once it got to altitude. Sadly I didn’t think to get a picture of him with his VR headset controlling one of the planes today..
