A smattering of shots… 9/2010

Well, mostly great fun… but will we return, not likely. The spectacle was great…

Restaurants were great, in particular Steve Martorano’s place in the RIO. Best Italian I have probably ever had –outside of Italy.  Vic & Anthony’s Steak House was off the charts too and had a wine list to die for –literally! Got to find a bottle of Rapture, called the Super store… but so far no go…

Of the shows we saw, Penn and Teller was far and away the most entertaining.

As for CDS: LOVE

I found it sort of contrived. The music was great, the staging was great but the performance was, well, just a lot of kinetic energy on stage with the occasional “performance”. More often than not there were a dozen or more frenetic dancers goofing off on stage and only occasionally a skilled display of someone on ropes or bungees or such.  The costumes were great as well, but sadly there was less than ¼ of the time where there was a performer worthy of the sorts of Cirque Du Soleil performances I have seen on video…

As for the gambling, who cares.

But, I did return with at least one story the will “stay in Vegas” so in all, a fun trip…
